“A Loop Through the Glades” The Everglades has proven to be an excellent destination for kayakers. Welsh Media Productions documented a six day expedition through the southern half of the massive park. The trip started and ended at Flamingo. A powerful storm system came through the area while Welsh and his party were on the water.

“Smoke and Fire” Moroso Motorsports Park in Jupiter, Florida hosts the annual Citrus Nationals drag racing event in the fall. Alcohol and jet dragsters, funny cars, and wheelstanders highlight this weekend-long gathering.

October 2007
“Imbibing Whiskey Creek” Fort Lauderdale is home to two manatee sanctuaries: Whiskey Creek and Florida Power and Light’s heated water discharge canal. Both are located within a half a mile of each other. During the summer of 2007 Pat Welsh and Mario Parodi explored these areas via their kayaks.

August 2007
“Kayaking to Carl Ross Key” Carl Ross Key, a tiny island in western Florida Bay inside Everglades National Park is a real gem. Getting there, however is tricky with strong tides, mud flats, and open water providing some of the hazards. This account provided an excellent commentary and equally impressive images.

March 2007
“To Hell’s Bay and Back” Another column was written for South Florida Adventures Magazine in March 2007. This story described a kayak trip to Hell’s Bay Chickee. Located inside a bay that is difficult to navigate, this trip provided lots of fantastic images.

December 2006
“City Man Kayaks 6 Days in The Wilds” Welsh Media Productions along with one of our marketing partners ScribePhotos.com provided photography as well as wrote a column on solo kayaking in the Everglades for the January 2007 issue of South Florida Adventures Magazine.
Welsh Media Productions produced a documentary on the Wilderness Waterway inside Everglades National Park. This column was an account based on that trip.
