DUCK DERBY
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, January 27, 2007
Welsh Media Productions provided photography as well as “duck movement support” with one of our kayaks.
This was a family fun event which took place at Esplanade Park on the New River. 25,000 rubber ducks were be released with the possibility of one person winning $1 million. This event being supported by Riverwalk Trust was the first annual Duckfest for Fort Lauderdale. Many cities nationally have these races and it is now Fort Lauderdale's turn. The race started from the Seventh Avenue bridge and ended at Esplanade Park with music, food, and the typical fun festival festivities. It was a family fun day with many children's activities along with a VIP party for corporate sponsors.
